I'm Charli
I’ve been doing makeup professionally since I was 18 years old - I’m based in Cambridge, but I travel all over the UK to bring my artistry wherever it’s needed.
Outside of work, I’m a bit of a nerd at heart—I love video games, sci-fi, and a good conspiracy theory. My biggest motivation in life? My three little girls. Everything I do is to give them the best life possible, and they inspire me every day to keep growing and perfecting my craft.
Makeup, to me, is an art form—just like painting on a canvas, but with faces. I love the creativity it allows, the way it brings out confidence in people, and the personal connections I build with my clients. Some start as clients and end up as friends! The beauty industry is ever-evolving, much like fashion, and I love keeping up with new trends and techniques to offer my clients the best.
My journey into makeup actually started with dance! I trained at Bodywork Dance Company, graduated in 2014, and spent my life performing. Being in that world, I saw just how much makeup could transform a look - just like costumes and choreography. That’s when I fell in love with the artistry of beauty and decided to make it my full-time career.
After hanging up my dance shoes, I moved into the beauty industry, working with premium brands like Inglot and Laura Mercier. My time with Laura Mercier was especially exciting - I became part of the artistry mentorship team, travelling around for creative workshops, retail events, and staff training. One of my standout moments? Working on a Mario Dedivanovic x Laura Mercier masterclass at Harvey Nichols—an incredible experience that gave me a real insight into high-end beauty and press events.
